6 September 2024 - Addept Insurance (Addept) has today announced it has become a ‘Club Sponsor’ of Colchester Rugby Football Club (Colchester RFC), its first community support programme recipient.
Addept is an independently-owned provider of innovative insurance products and services. The business was launched in May 2024 by Richard Finan, a founder and former director of Colchester-based Arc Legal Assistance.
Colchester Rugby Football Club is one of the biggest rugby clubs in the country. With close to 2000 adult and youth members and over 20 different teams. The club also has an active community and charity support programme.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Richard Finan, Managing Director of Addept Group, said: “Supporting our local community is an important part of our business. We want to help organisations that are connected with the local community and support the people that live within it. After many years owning and operating businesses in the Colchester area, I know firsthand of the benefits of having strong community organisations to support the diverse population that call this area home.”
Richard added: “As we start our own growth and development journey, I am pleased that our first community programme support is to such an important community-focused organisation. It’s an exciting time to be involved with Colchester RFC as the club prepares to celebrate both its centenary and the 1st team’s promotion to National League 2 earlier in the year, the first time in the club’s history that it has competed in the fourth highest tier of English Rugby Union.”
