HOW CAN YOU LOOK AFTER SAM AND ELLIE?

Sam and Ellie were on the first day of their touring holiday in North Wales. They had planned a series of pre-booked caravan sites to make the most of the scenic coastline and countryside. Having arrived at their first site and settled into their designated pitch, they locked up and headed out to enjoy the local area.

When they returned, two hours later, they found significant damage to one side of the caravan. The bodywork had been dented and split, and they could no longer secure the caravan properly.

Sam and Ellie spoke to the site manager, who advised one of the staff members had accidentally collided with the caravan while manoeuvring a quad bike used for site maintenance. The employee, new to the role and unfamiliar with the vehicle, had misjudged the distance and driven into the caravan.

The damage meant they would be unable to secure the caravan. It could not be towed and had to be recovered on a flatbed truck. So, continuing their trip to other sites was no longer possible and their journey was over before it had begun. They would have to cancel the remainder of their holiday and pursue a claim against the site owner for the repair and additional costs they would incur.
