Meet the team
Richard Finan
Our founder and Managing Director, Richard Finan has unrivalled experience encompassing all aspects of legal expenses and ancillary insurance. From product design and manufacture to senior operational and business development management, Richard combines these skills with a significant network of insurance industry contacts that makes him a driver for a change in the market.
Kelly Jarrett
Our Finance Director and Board member. Kelly is responsible for overseeing and managing our financial operations and strategy. Kelly not only brings us previous senior accountancy and financial management experience within the ancillary insurance market, but she also has a fresh approach to aligning our financial and strategic aims to help achieve our objectives.
Jo Finan
As Operations Director, Jo is responsible for the day-to-day operational functions of the business. This includes our online claims portal for policyholders. Jo has over a decade’s worth of claims, project and business management experience within the legal expenses and ancillary insurance market and Jo has run her own successful florist and hospitality businesses for many years. Her focus on delivering strong customer outcomes and her attention to detail are important to us consistently meeting the needs of our customers and their clients.

Paul Tasker
Paul is a key part of Addept’s leadership ecosystem. As the founder of Tasker Insurance Group, a successful Lloyd’s broker, Paul brings deep entrepreneurial experience and a sharp eye for identifying market inefficiencies. His track record of building and scaling businesses from the ground up—combined with his passion for disruptive ideas and practical execution—makes him an invaluable strategic asset to Addept.
Helen Withers
Helen’s extensive knowledge and experience in the legal expenses and ancillary insurance markets is a clear asset to our business. As a co-founder of Arc Legal Assistance, she shares a commitment to creating a sustainable business that creates value and addresses real need. Her senior leadership and financial management expertise is focused on supporting our drive for growth.
Mike Fenton
Mike has over 40 years’ experience in the UK motor and household insurance markets focusing on underwriting, distribution, claims, and business development. Mike was previously the Personal Lines Director of Folgate Insurance Company before being appointed as Managing Director of Folgate Underwriting Agency Personal Lines and Towergate Personal Lines Underwriting Division. Mike is co-founder and Director of Lares Services Limited, a specialist Managing General Agent in the property insurance market.
Jon May
Jon has over three decades of experience in the Personal Lines insurance market, the majority of which in senior management positions. His career has focused primarily on underwriting, including over 20 years in Lloyd’s Syndicates. He has co-founded MGAs in the motor and property markets. His current roles are Director of Lares Services Limited (UK Property insurance MGA) and Chief Operating Officer of Gibraltar regulated Evolution Insurance Company.
Dave Bowcock
Dave has 35 years’ experience in the UK and Irish Personal Lines insurance markets. He is Managing Director of Principal Insurance Ltd, the award-winning UK specialist Personal Lines and Fleet broker which he founded. Dave has held several non-Executive directorships and has the Institute of Directors certification and a diploma in company direction.
